WELCOME
| Welcome to Marion United Methodist Church. Having been the Pastor here since the end of June of this year, in many ways I’m like you, just getting acquainted with the people of this church. What I have found is a group of folks who are enthusiastic and warm in their welcome and hospitality. We are a congregation blessed with the stability of tradition and the energy of new members. In the past eleven years we have received over five hundred new members. This growth has challenged us, and so many changes have taken place. As you come into our church and tour its’ facilities you will see that we have prepared to grow into the future. In the past five years we have built some 30,000 square feet of new buildings, and now we have a new multipurpose gym, as well as new children’s and education space, and a new sanctuary. Above all, within our congregation lies a commitment to help each other grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus Christ. We don’t pretend to having arrived in our faith, but we are dedicated to continuing on the journey to becoming the people Christ means us to be. Come and join us. Brother Steve Wingo |
