Tim's Talk About Youth
| Welcome to MUMC Youth! We have a fantastic group of young people here at MUMC. If you or someone you know in grades 7-12 would like to be a part of our group, we would love to have you. Our youth group meets once a week. In addition to our weekly meetings, our group meets for other functions, activities and missions throughout the year. At Christmas, our youth group leads "Hope for the Holidays". It's a mission project we started in 2007 and has been a huge success. This year we delivered food and gifts to 130 families in the area. Our whole church supports and helps with this important mission. In the summer, our group takes a trip together. This trip may be a time for us to have recreation together and learn more about our creator. This trip is also sometimes mission oriented. In any case, our summer trip has been a fantastic success and we look forward to it every year. Other activities our group is involved in include, hosting other church's and mission groups, leading the worship service in music and message and visiting nursing homes in our area, and attending team building activities. My goal as youth director is to help shape the lives of our future leaders. As I've said many times before, I believe we have one of the finest groups of young people anywhere. It is my hope that I can foster the faith of our young people as much as they foster mine. With faith all things are possible. With this group, the sky is the limit!!
